Is GirlFilter safe? Privacy and safety explained
GirlFilter is built to limit what happens to your photo: it is shrunk in your browser, checked automatically, used to make one image, and our copy is deleted when the job ends. Third-party AI providers process the photo under their own policies, and one of them, kie.ai, does not publish a specific retention period. This page lays out what we do, who else is involved, and what we cannot promise.
What happens to your photo, step by step
- In your browser. Your device shrinks the photo to a longest side of 1024 pixels and re-encodes it as a JPEG. This drops EXIF and location data. Face detection also runs in your browser, and a photo without exactly one face stops there.
- Safety check. The shrunken photo is sent through our server to kie.ai, which passes it to a Google Gemini model. It refuses photos of people who look like children or young teenagers, photos with nudity or sexual content, or that are not real photos of a person. A refused photo costs no credits.
- Generation. We store the photo temporarily in Cloudflare R2 and create a private one-time link, valid for 15 minutes, that kie.ai uses to fetch it. kie.ai passes it to the image model: ByteDance Seedream 5.0 Flash or Google Nano Banana, depending on the filter and style you chose (the full list is in section 4.6 of the terms).
- Cleanup. When the job ends, whether it succeeds, fails or times out, we delete our copy of the original photo. A background cleanup runs every 10 minutes for leftovers.
- Your result. The result image is kept for 30 days so you can download it again. Only you can see it when signed in, and you can delete it at any time.
The request to the providers carries the photo and a fixed instruction. It does not include your name or email.

We do not train any model on your photos and results, and we have no models of our own. The providers follow their own policies, linked from our privacy policy. To be plain about what we do not know: kie.ai's public policy does not state a specific retention period for API request content, and we do not control it. If that matters to you, weigh it before uploading.
Is it a nudify or undress app?
No. GirlFilter cannot undress anyone.
- The automatic check refuses nude and sexual photos before an image is made.
- The instruction sent to the AI is fixed and always asks for a fully clothed, non-sexual result.
- You cannot type your own prompt.
- The terms ban non-consensual intimate images with zero tolerance. We delete them, close the account and report them where the law requires or allows.
Consent and age
Every generation needs a tick on a consent box: you are 18 or older, and the photo is yours or you have the person's permission. Photos of people who look like children or young teenagers are refused. Automatic age estimates cannot reliably tell older teenagers from young adults, so the 18+ rule still applies when a photo gets through.
Payments
Payments go through Waffo, which is the merchant of record. It handles your card, tax and receipt, and we never see your card number. Packs are one-time purchases with no subscription and no auto-renewal. You can get a full refund within 14 days if you have not used any credits from the pack.
What we cannot promise
- No automatic check is perfect.
- We cannot control what third-party providers do with data under their own policies.
- Photos you upload are your responsibility. Do not upload someone else's photo without permission.
- GirlFilter is run by an independent developer and launched in October 2026, so it has a short track record.
How to report a problem
If you see a result used to harm someone, or a photo of you used without your consent, email support@girlfilter.com with where you saw it and what is wrong. Please do not attach the image unless we ask. We aim to handle reports within 48 hours. See also the safety page and the facts page.
