Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of GirlFilter at https://girlfilter.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The Service is operated by an independent developer under the name "GirlFilter" ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@girlfilter.com.

1. What the Service does

You upload one photo of a person and choose a filter. Our main filter, the girl filter, uses AI to generate a female version of the same person from a photo of a man, in two styles, Natural and Feminine. Other filters, listed on our filters page, make other changes to your photo, and each offers one or more styles. Each generation makes one image and uses 1 credit.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. Every photo goes through an automated check. Photos that look like a minor, or where age is unclear, are refused. The check is automated and may make mistakes. It does not change the rule that the Service is for adults only.

3. Your photos

  • Upload only photos of yourself, or of an adult who has clearly agreed to it.
  • You confirm you have the right to upload each photo.
  • You keep any rights you have in your photos. You allow us and our providers to process each photo only to check it and generate your result, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable Use Policy for AI-generated content

This section is our acceptable use policy. It applies to every photo you upload and every image the Service generates.

4.1 Prohibited content

You may not use the Service to generate, or try to generate, any of the following six categories of content:

  1. Pornography and NSFW content. Nudity, sexual acts, sexually suggestive or "undressed" images, and any request to remove or reduce clothing.
  2. Violence and gore. Images showing injury, blood, mutilation, weapons used against people, or other graphic violence.
  3. Hate speech. Images that attack, demean or stereotype people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits, including hateful symbols.
  4. Child-unsafe content. Any photo of a person under 18, any attempt to get around our age check, and any content that sexualizes or endangers minors. We report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities.
  5. Deepfakes and impersonation. Images of a real person made without that person's consent, images used to impersonate or deceive anyone (for example on dating or social apps), and images of celebrities, politicians or other public figures.
  6. Copyright and trademark infringement. Photos you do not have the right to use, and images that copy protected characters, artwork, logos or brand names.

You also agree not to harass, bully or humiliate anyone with the Service, not to get around our limits with scripts, bulk requests or multiple accounts, and not to resell the Service.

4.2 How we moderate content

  • No free-text prompts. Users cannot type instructions to the AI. Every filter uses a fixed prompt written by us, and every prompt asks for a fully clothed, non-sexual result.
  • Checks before generation. Your browser first checks that the photo shows exactly one face. Our server then runs an automated AI safety check on every photo and refuses it if the person may be under 18, if it contains nudity or sexual content, or if it is not a real photograph of a person.
  • Checks during and after generation. The image models we use apply their own safety filters to the output and refuse unsafe results. Results are private to your account and are never shown in a public gallery.
  • Human review. We review every report we receive and act on it as described below.

4.3 Reporting violations

To report content that breaks this policy, email support@girlfilter.com with "Report abuse" in the subject line. Describe the problem and include a link or screenshot if you can. We aim to act within 48 hours. Reports involving minors are handled first.

4.4 Enforcement

If you break this policy, we may do any of the following, depending on how serious the breach is: refuse the request, delete the generated images, suspend or permanently close your account, and cancel any remaining credits on that account without a refund. We may also report illegal content to law enforcement.

4.5 Appeals

If you think we acted on your account by mistake, email support@girlfilter.com with "Appeal" in the subject line within 30 days. A person will review the decision and reply.

4.6 AI models we use

GirlFilter is an independent product. Images are generated with these third-party AI models, accessed through the kie.ai API:

  • Seedream 5.0 Flash by ByteDance, used for the Natural style of the girl filter;
  • Nano Banana (Gemini image model) by Google, used for the Feminine style and for other filters;
  • Google Gemini, used for the safety check on uploaded photos.

GirlFilter is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ByteDance, Google or kie.ai. All result images are AI-generated and should not be presented as real, unedited photographs.

5. Your results

You can share your result images and use them for personal purposes.

You may share your result images and use them for personal, non-commercial purposes, including posting them on social media. We make no promise that result images can be used commercially, for example in advertising or products. If you use them that way, you do so at your own risk.

Results are AI output. They can look different from what you expect, and they do not show what you would really look like. Nothing on the Service is medical advice or advice about gender identity.

6. Accounts

Generating requires signing in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account. New accounts get 2 credits. If you delete your account and later sign up again with the same Google account, the signup credits are not given again. You can delete your account from the account page.

7. Credits and payments

  • Credit packs: Starter $4.99 for 30 credits, Pro $9.99 for 80 credits, Max $19.99 for 200 credits. Prices include applicable tax. See the pricing page.
  • Packs are one-time purchases. There is no subscription. Credits do not expire.
  • Payments are processed by Creem, our merchant of record, under its own terms. Creem sends your receipt.
  • If a generation fails, times out or is refused by the model, the 1 credit is returned automatically.
  • Refunds follow our refund policy. If Creem refunds or you dispute a payment, the credits from that order are removed.

8. Daily limits

Each account has a daily generation limit. We may change it, and we may pause generation when a site-wide daily budget is reached.

9. Availability and changes

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Cloudflare, kie.ai, Google and ByteDance. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the Service, and it may be unavailable at times.

10. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that results will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text and code, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for personal purposes in line with these terms.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, including photos.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Updated terms will appear on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
