What it is

  • GirlFilter is a web tool with five AI filters. You upload one image and it generates a changed version of it.
  • Girl filter (/): turns a photo of a man into a female version of the same person, in Natural and Feminine styles.
  • Gender swap (/gender-swap): photo to female or to male.
  • Bald filter (/bald-filter): clean bald or shaved with stubble.
  • Age filter (/age-filter): shows you older, at about 60 or about 80. It only makes people look older, never younger.
  • Anime genderbend (/anime-genderbend): turns an illustration of your own original male character into a female version.
  • It works in the browser. There is no app to install.
  • Results are square (1:1) still images at roughly 1K resolution. A generation takes about 20 seconds.
  • The interface and content are in English.

Who runs it

  • It is built and operated by Carl, an independent developer, under the name GirlFilter.
  • GirlFilter is not affiliated with ByteDance, Google or kie.ai.

How it works

  • You log in with Google, upload one clear photo with exactly one face (or, for the anime genderbend, one illustration of an original character), tick the consent box, and pick a style.
  • The photo is resized in your browser to a longest side of 1024 pixels and re-encoded as a JPEG, which drops EXIF and location metadata.
  • An automatic AI check runs before any image is made. It refuses photos of people who look like children or young teenagers, photos with nudity or sexual content, or that are not real photos of a person. For the anime genderbend it refuses images that are not illustrations, show more than one character, a character who is clearly a young child, nudity or sexual content, a character that looks like one from an existing franchise, or a female character.
  • You cannot type your own prompt. The instruction sent to the image model is fixed and asks for a fully clothed, non-sexual result.
  • You can compare before and after with a slider and download the result, or a before-and-after image.

Models

  • ByteDance Seedream 5.0 Flash: girl filter Natural style (default), gender swap To female, both bald filter looks, and the age filter Older style.
  • Google Nano Banana: girl filter Feminine style, gender swap To male, the age filter Elderly style, and the anime genderbend.
  • Safety check: a Google Gemini model.
  • The models are accessed through the kie.ai API. They are also listed in section 4.6 of the terms.

Pricing

  • Credits are sold as one-time packs. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal.
  • Each image costs 2 credits, in every filter and style.
  • Starter: $4.99 for 18 credits (9 images). Pro: $9.99 for 60 credits (30 images). Max: $19.99 for 200 credits (100 images).
  • Prices include applicable tax. Credits do not expire.
  • Payments are handled by Waffo, the merchant of record. A pack can be refunded in full within 14 days if none of its credits were used. See the refund policy.

Free tier

  • A new account gets 4 free credits when it first logs in with Google. That is 2 images.
  • Images made before the first purchase carry a small girlfilter.com watermark. After any purchase, new images have no watermark.
  • Free accounts can make up to 2 images per day.
  • If a generation fails, times out or is refused by the model, the 2 credits are returned automatically.

Privacy

  • Your original photo is stored temporarily so the AI provider can fetch it through a private one-time link that is valid for 15 minutes.
  • Our copy of the original photo is deleted when the job ends (success, failure or timeout). A cleanup runs every 10 minutes for leftovers.
  • Result images are visible only to the signed-in owner, are kept for 30 days, and can be deleted at any time.
  • Photos and results are not used to train models. The request sent to the providers carries no name or email.
  • kie.ai and the model providers process the photo under their own policies. kie.ai's public policy does not state a specific retention period for API request content.

Safety

  • Adults only. Only one face is allowed per photo. You must confirm the photo is yours or that you have the person's permission. The anime genderbend accepts only your own original characters, not characters from existing franchises, and refuses characters who are clearly young children. Art styles such as chibi are fine. Results are always fully clothed and non-sexualized.
  • GirlFilter is not an undress or nudify app. Nude and sexual photos are refused, and every result is fully clothed and non-sexual.
  • The terms list seven prohibited content types. Non-consensual intimate images have zero tolerance, and the account is closed.

Limitations

  • Female-to-male is available through the gender swap filter. The girl filter and the anime genderbend only go from male to female.
  • The age filter only makes people look older. The anime genderbend works only on original characters, not characters from existing anime, games or other franchises.
  • There is no mobile or desktop app. Video, real-time camera filters, group photos or multi-character images, full-body transformation and custom prompts are not supported.
  • You need to log in with Google to generate an image.
  • Results are AI images made for fun and curiosity. They are not a prediction or medical advice.
